We would like to introduce ourselves,
John & Stacey Salisbury, owner operators of S & J Piloting Service based in Ashburton.
Stacey has been involved in over dimensional loads since she can remember. Her late Grandad “Clancy” owned a house removals business. Her school holidays were spent on site, early morning wake ups & late-night moves. Seeing those ﬂashing lights & wide loads are in the blood. She got her class 2 as soon as she gained her full car licence, 15 odd years ago, followed quickly by gaining her class 1 in 2012.
John came into play when we meet back in 2018. He has been involved in the transport industry for the last 12 years driving trucks and is currently doing heavy haulage. He also holds his class 1 pilot licence.
S & J Piloting Service was created in 2019. Stacey was helping take overﬂow work for a Christchurch based piloting company (Helen and Marty Colins) whilst working around the house removals business.
You will mainly see Stacey out & about piloting as John’s company contribution is cleaning the car, servicing/maintenance & the odd pilot when needed.
As members of the Heavy Haulage Association, we are kept up to date with the latest information to make sure your move is as stress free as possible.
We are passionate about what we do & do everything to ensure a safe move. Our main goal is to protect the load, other road users & to notify other trucks before they meet the load to make for a smoother & safer encounter for all road users.
It does not matter whether the load is wide, high, long or heavy we have you covered as well as able to assist/handle your permitting needs if required.
